THE HEAD OF STATE NOTED THE POOR PREPAREDNESS OF GRADUATES OF VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL EDUCATION
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the lack of representatives of working specialties in Astana, reports the correspondent of Kazinform.
«About 70% of employers, according to a survey of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are not satisfied with the graduates of TiPo (technical and vocational education). Life is changing, new technologies require new skills in the profession. Therefore, I have set the task of modernizing 20 anchor universities — one each in the region. If you take it, it’s 17, but also in large places, such as cities with a population of millions,» said Nursultan Nazarbayev at an enlarged meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan.
The Head of the State noted that there is data in the access on what field of specialties are in demand.
«There is a large flow of migrants to Astana. Construction is in progress, there are not enough representatives of workers’ specialties, welders and cooks. We do not have unemployment as such, if people had a profession,» Nursultan Nazarbayev added.
