DEVELOPMENT OF DUAL EDUCATION IN KAZAKHSTAN
On June 27-28, a round table discussion about «Development of human capital in Kazakhstan — the way to success through dual education» was held in the city of Nur-Sultan, organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Kasachstan.
The event was held in the format of a dialogue platform for the main stakeholders of the dual vocational education system (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NCE «Atameken», akimats, enterprises) and was aimed at identifying problematic issues, achieving specific agreements of the parties involved, preparation and acceptance of recommendations.
During the round table such topics as financing per capita in the TVET system and for dual education, the transfer of colleges in trust management, the creation of centres of competence were discussed.
The main speakers were invited: Nasymzhan Ospanova, Director of Department of TVET at MES, Lyazat Shonaeva, Deputy Director of the Department of human capital development NCE «Atameken», Goertz Rainer, expert of the Fund named after Konrad Adenauer, Aizhan Akhmetova, Deputy Chairman of the Board and etc.
«Within the framework of the Road map for the development of technical and vocational education, measures are provided to improve the mechanisms of dual training. We are creating a special project office for the development of dual training. The objectives of which are to improve the legal framework in terms of stimulating measures of enterprises, in addition to ensuring the conclusion of employment contracts between students and enterprises in the dual training to account for work experience, moreover, providing compensation to college students» — said in her speech, Nasymzhan Ospanova.
Representatives of German-Kazakh Business Hub and Advisor to the German company «TÜV Rheinland Academy & Life Care» in Kazakhstan — Karlygash Smailova also took an active part in this event.
